Samsung introduced a "Developer Edition" of Verizon's Galaxy S III earlier this year that included an easily unlockable bootloader to allow owners to tinker with their device. Now it looks like a similar version of the Galaxy Note II is on the way, as a product page for a Developer Edition of the Verizon Note II has appeared on Samsung's website. This Titanium Gray unit appears to be the same as the consumer version of the Note II, complete with a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 5.5-inch 1280x720 display, 16GB storage and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. And yes, there's still Verizon logo on its home button.
We've yet to hear any official announcements about a Galaxy Note II Developer Edition from Samsung or Verizon, so it's not yet clear when this unit might become available for purchase or how much it'll cost once it does. However, the 16GB and 32GB Galaxy S III Developer Editions feature the same prices as Verizon is asking for its regular models sans commitment ($599.99 and $649.99, respectively), so don't be surprised if this Note II Developer Edition touts a price tag similar to the regular Note II's $699.99 off-contract cost.
