ST. PETERS, MO (KTVI)? A 16-year-old St. Peters girl thought to be with a registered sex offender is still missing.
Molly Linhardt was last seen Monday, when her father dropped her off at the KFC where she works.
It was so difficult seeing Molly`s loved ones tearing up, begging her to just come home.
Molly`s grandma and sister say she`s a fun-loving, happy teen with a rebellious streak, but they never expected her to stay gone this long and that`s why they`re concerned.
Molly`s parents reported her missing Monday night when they realized she wasn`t scheduled to work that day. Her sister Katie says Molly developed a relationship with 27-year-old Benjamin Kinkade, a manager at the KFC where she works on Jungermann Road.
Even though her family voiced disapproval, Molly continued seeing him in secret.
But then in December, the two were pulled over by police, who discovered he`s a registered sex offender. Court documents show he was convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl when he was 17. KFC found out about this, and fired him.
??You think she`d come back at 1 in the morning when she thinks everyone`s asleep, or when she got off work, but after that didn`t happen and even the next day,? stated Molly?s sister Kate Linhardt. ?That`s when I get worried, like, is this really her choice now? Or is it him, so I just want to know she`s ok and where she`s at, you know??
Police don`t believe the two have the money or means to be gone very long, but she left her phone in St. Peters and he turned his off.
If you have any information, call police.
